I am a licensed counselor with 10 years experience.  I came to the field from higher education where I worked supporting student leaders in projects connecting undergraduates to local activism and volunteer needs.  It was my desire to learn how to support the emotional growth and resilience of college students that led me to pursue a Masters degree in Counseling from UNC-Greensboro in 2013. Since then I have worked in inpatient and outpatient settings.

 

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC #11948) approved by the North Carolina Board of Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors. I hold certification of completion in Motivational Interviewing (MI). I have also completed additional training in Emotions Focused Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Brainspotting.
